Island Labs is a protocol development studio. We design and build decentralized protocols and the applications that run on top of them, across crypto, AI and emerging technologies.

What we are

We are not a single product. We are the studio behind several independent protocols, each with its own brand, identity and infrastructure. Island Labs is the team that conceives, engineers and ships them.

What we build

We build protocols: the underlying rules and smart-contract infrastructure that let people interact directly, without intermediaries. Around each protocol we build clean, usable applications so that the technology is accessible to real users, not just developers.

Our work sits at the intersection of decentralized systems and applied AI — designing protocols where intelligent, verifiable logic replaces the middlemen that traditional systems depend on.

How we work

We favor depth over breadth. We pick problems that genuinely matter, commit to seeing them through, and build deliberately. Each protocol is developed to stand on its own, with its own dedicated site and community, while sharing the engineering standards and philosophy of the studio.

Current protocols

Tontine — private peer-to-peer agreement events, resolved by AI. Currently in beta.

Cassian — an inheritance vault for crypto, securing your keys across an AI consensus network. Coming soon.
